    Lol, ‘hit sweet spot”. The biggest takeaway for me is how true that a RESET is needed sometimes. Unfortunately, without pedantic rules, keeping the sugar and starch to a manageable level in this age of supermarket candy, corn-syrup foods, treats and exciting packaging is a Herculean task. And sugar is so addictive, the more sugar you have the harder it is to stop as your biome gears to it! So Keto being so clear about avoiding sugar really helps the discipline of staying away from these invasive treats, maybe one of its greatest strengths is psychological. At the end of the day though, if we can just be pedantically moderate, the studies indicate that is the best approach.

    Yeah, I too am guilty of jumping through diet plan to others as well, I think that I need to have tried every fat reduction system that was available, but eventually not one of them helped me to lose and keep the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time using the Custokebon Secrets because my buddy who told me great things about it and so far to date I've effectively lost 17 lbs within 3 weeks!

    Balance is everything healthy. Keto diet and intermittent fasting with discipline is a highly effective lifestyle for losing lots of weight. This takes time for your body to adapt and therefore can/will throw your digestive system out of balance until that adaption takes place. Nobody I am aware and certainly not me likes discipline all the time which makes a disciplined keto diet and intermittent fasting suitable for me. So I balance it out and have an undisciplined keto diet with intermittent fasting that seems to work well but does not have the very high weight loss benefits. Lots of meat in the keto diet not a great idea as your research seems to reveal. My body tells me that anyway. Balanced keto diet with lots of the good protein based oils and low carb vegetables, mixed with moderate meat and intermittent fasting, is the balanced way to go. For me anyway.

    give the amount of data and research we have it's amazing to me that people still believe eating meat is a good thing.. go vegan, it's the only diet meant for humans, and ketosis while it has some great results it's clearly toxic for the body, so you know fasting a couple of times a year has proven to help with logevity and health, it's like rebooting your system, but much like your computer, why would you spend weeks or months in your DOS ? that's not normal and while we should starve ourselves (as we have been for millions of years) these periods should be short and effective like a proper water diet with some juicing. Ketosis rises your inflammation factor by a lot ! and there are few antioxidants going around on a keto diet and also you stink of acetone, why would you spend months in that state ?

    Obesity and high internal organ fat kills. Being on a keto diet makes the body use these fats as energy instead of storing it in organs like the liver. The low carb group was probably still eating enough carbs to prevent ketosis. So I assume this study is already flawed

    Questionaires are useless and not "studies" I cant remeber what I ate 3 days ago I'd just lie.
    "article in the Lancet Journal associates low carb diets and animal products with increased mortality". So what. still driving my silver car.
    Corporate investment in these BS studies have the required result – anything that challenges the american SAD diet must be discredited through slight of hand and regulation.

    Well, the studies talk about people eating more animal products but it doesn't specify the amount of carbs on the side dishes they ate their meats with. I just don't believe the people studied where people fully into Keto or Carnivorous diets.
